Kingston has a vision: Kingston — Canada’s Most Sustainable City.
To achieve the vision of making Kingston — Canada’s Most Sustainable City, FOCUS Kingston has released Sustainable Kingston, an Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP) based on the cultural, economic, environmental, and social pillars of sustainability. This web site is an online tool that presents the Sustainable Kingston Plan and provides a dynamic inventory of actions that Community Partners are undertaking to support sustainability. Each action is aligned with one or more of the 20 themes and each theme with one of the four pillars of sustainability. As outlined in the Sustainable Kingston Plan it is the linkages and integration among themes and between pillars that will support Kingston in becoming more sustainable.
