FORUM BACKGROUND
The Community Forum that takes place at the K-Rock Centre on Saturday, April 20th, 2013 will have something of interest for everyone, including exhibits, speakers, success stories, and interactive discussions about sustainability in Kingston. Here is a sneak peek at the exciting program that is part of this year’s Community Forum (find the agenda here).

Keynote Presentation by Gord Hume — One of Canada's leading experts on Municipal Cultural Planning and Creative Cities. Gord Hume is recognized as one of Canada’s leading voices and advocates for building strong, creative and prosperous communities. He is the author of three important books on municipal government, an internationally sought-after speaker on creative cities, improving municipal government, developing healthier communities and cultural planning. He is a national columnist on two web sites and a frequent magazine and newspaper contributor.
Showcase Presentations — Sustainable Kingston Partners who are currently implementing projects and programs as part of the Sustainable Kingston Plan will talk about their success stories and how they all link together to reach the vision of Kingston—Canada’s Most Sustainable City
Exhibits — Dynamic displays of sustainability in action, such as projects currently in the works, innovative business solutions, and diverse media used to communicate sustainability.
