The New Energy project is a unique collaboration between the three local governments, Queens University, St Lawrence College & local private companies to market and position the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington region as a place with ‘new energy’. The project not only focuses on energy conservation and renewable energy but also, green technology, chemicals, materials and products, tourism, education, community awareness and policy development. As a result of this economic development project, the region will see an increase of new businesses, jobs, investments, a skilled labour force, and last but not least: it will be the best region in Canada to live, work, study and play.
